STEM
In STEM we focus on learning and putting into practice the engineering design process. Students learn the importance of planning, budgeting, and wise use of resources. We learn from our failures and focus on modifying and reworking our design. We learn how to listen to teammates and incorporate ideas of everyone in the group. We introduce and explore digital citizenship standards and technology concepts and programs. The class is very hands-on and an opportunity for students to use a different part of their brain during the school day. Students are challenged to think outside the box to find creative solutions to problems as well as become growth minded and resilient learners.
